American
American art reflects many different styles and many different
influences. To narrow down our approach to this category, we placed American
artists who depicted what we would consider early records of what it was like
to be in America during the formative years, so to speak. The collection of these images in no
way reflects all American artists of the time, but there is a sense of
nostalgia represented in each of the works. If you do not see one of your
favorite American artists listed here, look for them under a specific style
they were more known for (i.e. Thomas Cole is listed under Hudson River School,
while J.M.W. Turner is found under Post Impressionism, etc.). And as always, if
you don't see the image you are looking for, contact us. We can still recreate
it.
