Northern Renaissance

Go to this painting

We have separated the Northern Renaissance artists from the main Renaissance category because although the artists draw from the conventions developing in Italy, their mindset is much different, and therefore they produce a unique type of Renaissance painting. We have also included those artists who produced work from the very early years of the Renaissance to the later years, enabling you to see how Italy may have affected their works along the way. The beauty of Northern Renaissance painting stretches across areas such as Flanders, the Netherlands, Germany and others in between. The richness in color, minute detail, textures and Protestant influence is evident in each. So take a look around, and remember, if you don't see the image you are looking for, contact us. We can still recreate it.
